Q2. What does the Medical R&D Center do?

With specialists in each field, including orthopedics, ear-nose-throat, Oriental rehabilitation, and neurology, the Medical R&D Center verifies the correlation between the massage chair and health and medical efficacies and the effects of a massage chair through clinical tests and research.

Research results were published in SCI-level journals, including the impact of massage before going to bed on sleeping. The Medical R&D Center is leading the sales of the medical appliances of Bodyfriend by launching medical appliances (Phantom Medical Care) with the functions relieving muscular pain and pulled cervical vertebral beyond the general functions of massage chairs.

Q3. What is the future direction of Bodyfriend?

For the goals of Bodyfriend ‘10 more years of active longevity’, Bodyfriend has been transforming itself to a ‘Home Health Care Company’. To this end, Bodyfriend focuses on the development of health care massage chairs based on the measurement and analysis of vital signs. Bodyfriend presented the future of health care and launched products measuring electrocardiogram and blood pressure, including a demonstration of the AI software estimating diseases by collecting and using biometric data at CES2022 held in January 2022. Bodyfriend proposed a new future as the home health care hub’ measuring a variety of biometric data while the client pleasantly gets a massage at home, analyzing the data by AI, and providing customized service beyond the scope of a massage chair. In the future, Bodyfriend aims to present a health care robot, which can check the health status of clients and estimate the diseases.
