Vainer CEO Kim Won-gil began making shoes at 17 and rose to become a medalist in the shoemaking category at the National Skills Competition by 23. For the past 50 years, he has been a master shoemaker, and in 2025, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame as a “Comprehensive Global Shoe Master”. Since founding the shoe company in 1994, CEO Kim has built a reputation as the leading brand of “comfort shoes” by consistently growing and solidifying its position as the top brand in the industry, following its acquisition of the Vainer brand in 2011.
