SK Securities has once again demonstrated its commitment to sustainability by achieving the highest score in financial ESG management in the latest NCI evaluation. This is seen as a result of internalizing climate change response and transparent governance as core management principles, rather than just a declarative statement.

Following its historic approval as the first domestic securities firm to join the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) in 2022, SK Securities has taken its carbon neutrality efforts to the next level by expanding its scope to include Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions, as well as carbon emissions under PCAF standards, and is now implementing a comprehensive and sophisticated carbon neutrality roadmap. The company has become the first domestic private financial institution to be certified as a Green Climate Fund (GCF) entity, and this achievement has helped solidify its presence in the global green finance market. Furthermore, by participating in the Natural Finance Disclosure Consultation (TNFD) and adhering to IFRS S2, the company has enhanced its disclosure standards to encompass not only climate-related risks but also natural risks such as biodiversity, thereby securing the trust of global investors.

Internally, the company has established a solid foundation for sustainable growth through its board-led management and rigorous internal controls. By joining the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and obtaining certifications in ISO 37001 (Anti-Bribery Management System) and ISO 37301 (Compliance Management System), the company has laid the groundwork for ethical management. Additionally, its transparent governance structure, which includes a majority of outside directors and separate operations for the chairperson and CEO, ensures effective checks and balances.
