Samjin Fish Cake

Samjin Fish Cake, Korea’s leading fish cake brand, topped the fish cake category in the NCI survey, achieving high scores across all five key areas: brand recognition, brand identity and distinctiveness, brand satisfaction, brand loyalty, and global competitiveness. At the 17th annual awards, which saw the introduction of a new fish cake category, Samjin Fish Cake made history as the first brand to take home the top prize.

For 73 years, Samjin Fish Cake has been committed to producing fish cakes with a focus on “good ingredients” and “high meat content”. Building on a long tradition, the company is expanding its horizons by introducing a range of innovative products that cater to changing consumer trends.

Last year, the company showcased “Blue Meat Powder”, a product that incorporates fish protein, at CES 2025, highlighting the potential for fish cakes to become a future seafood protein food in the global market. Recently, the company has successfully developed a room-temperature storage fish cake using the retort sterilization process and showcased its “Space Food Concept” product at the “Drone Show Korea 2026.”

The company is also steadily expanding its presence in the global market. Since opening its first store in Singapore in 2017, the company has expanded its direct stores to Australia, and is now gearing up to launch its first store in China this year, marking a significant expansion into new markets. Since last November, the company has been running a pop-up store in Taiwan.

Vice President Kim Tae-sung expressed his deep pride in winning the top prize in the fish cake category at the prestigious New York Festival’s Korea National Brand Awards, saying, “We’re committed to continuing to innovate and introduce products that stay ahead of the curve, with the goal of becoming a globally recognized fish cake brand that’s always pushing the boundaries.”
