LG UPLUS HOME SERVICE

LG U+ has introduced Wi-Fi 7 routers that support 6GHz, a first for a domestic telecom company, and is boosting its competitiveness in the high-speed internet market. The company has also seen a positive response to its internet products, which cater to “safe” needs, such as blocking smishing sites. To meet the growing demand for diverse video content, IPTV content has been continuously expanded. Building on its debut of Korea’s first Google-affiliated IPTV in 2012, the company has since expanded its content offerings through partnerships with Netflix in 2018 and Disney+ in 2021. In addition, LG U+’s kids’ content, Kid’s Country, has been consistently boosting its visibility and customer satisfaction since 2017.

The company also introduced its own AI technology, “Exi”, to its IPTV service, driving customer-centric innovation. LG U+ is standing out with its unique features, including “AI Curation,” which suggests personalized content, “AI Subtitles,” which automatically generates subtitles just 10 minutes after a live broadcast ends, and “Iaxi Voice Chatbot,” the first 24-hour customer support service in Korea’s IPTV market.

These innovations also had a lasting impact. According to the “2025 Quality Evaluation of Pay-TV Service” conducted by the Korea Communications Commission and the National Information Society Agency (NIA), LG U+ topped the list in user satisfaction (67.8 points) among the three major telecom operators, and also led in content satisfaction (61.2 points).

LG U+ has introduced a new direction called “Simply. U,” which aims to simplify the complexities of telecommunications and focus on the core, while also striving to provide customers with a hassle-free and comfortable communication experience.
