CHRISTIAN MEMORIAL PARK

Christian Memorial Park, completed in 2004, was established to promote Christian funeral culture and to implement land-use efficiency policies. In 2009, the Gloria Hall, a two-story memorial hall, was expanded to accommodate over 4,000 additional enshrinement tablets. In 2016, the Victory Hall was expanded to add a further 15,000 enshrinement tablets. Currently, it has established itself as Korea’s premier memorial hall, boasting a total of 40,000 units, including 10 memorial halls, a bongandan, a family bonganmyo, and a Yutaek-dong.

Christian Memorial Park is dedicated to providing a peaceful resting place for the deceased, while also investing significant resources in developing services and amenities for the bereaved families. Beyond the memorial space, the family has transformed it into a cozy sanctuary where they can hold onto their longing and memories of the deceased. To ensure a comfortable stay for both young children and seniors, the hotel offers a range of amenities, including a lounge, a book cafe, and a children’s play area.

The organization also regularly hosts cultural events in collaboration with the bereaved families. Every year, on the anniversary of the foundation’s founding, we hold a contest for “Memorial Letters” and award the best submissions. We also display the winning letters within the hall. Additionally, we publish a biennial booklet called “Pieces of Longing to Send to Heaven,” which we distribute for free to the public. In addition, the memorial hall is hosting an exhibition of sculptures to foster a high-end memorial culture and create a welcoming environment.

The Christian Memorial Park Foundation is also at the forefront of social giving, including scholarships and donations. The organization annually donates over 300 million won to social welfare facilities and religious groups, and also provides special end-of-year donations to support the underprivileged. Christian Memorial Park aims to continue to identify and support a wide range of charitable causes, thereby extending its positive impact to those in need and the local community.
