SK Securities was selected as the winner in the ESG Management category of the 15th Korea National Brand Awards.
The Korea National Brand Awards, now in its 15th year, is an internationally recognized ceremony that shares the achievements of brands that hold the highest value and respect as national assets and honors their outstanding reputation on a global scale. SK Securities has proudly received the ESG Management award for the second consecutive year.

In 2022, SK Securities became the first single securities firm in Korea to obtain approval for Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) reduction goals. Additionally, it published a Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) report, demonstrating its commitment to addressing climate change and disclosure. In May of last year, SK Securities joined the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI), and in January, it became a member of the Task Force on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), achieving numerous industry-first milestones.

Moreover, in October of last year, SK Securities succeeded in obtaining accreditation as the first private financial institution in the Korea for the Green Climate Fund (GCF). Furthermore, it has expanded into the realm of sustainable finance by initiating a Smart City project, becoming the first domestic financial institution to do so.

Since 2021, SK Securities has been driving ESG management through a dedicated organization directly under the CEO. Additionally, to promote sustainable growth and protect related parties’ interests, an ESG Committee was established under the Board of Directors in March of last year.
