Ttangkkeut Haenam is widely known as the starting point of a pilgrimage of the country because of its geographical significance being the southern tip of the Korean peninsula, symbolizing the commencement of hope. Haenam is the representative tourist site in the southern region of Korea with lots of visitors from all over the country due to its distinguished nature and landscape created by the land and the coast.

Including Ttangkkeut Tower and Observatory, symbolizing the end of land, and Sky Walk with the theme ‘one more step from the end of land’, a tourist site harmonized with the surrounding landscape and expressing the significance as the end of land, has been formed.

Haenam has the most historic remains of the ancient Mahan period, from around 3 BC. Thus, Haenam has high academic value. Moreover, Haenam is the city of history tourism with lots of historic and cultural remains, including the only Bird Tracksite and Dinosaur and Pterodactyl Tracksite in the world.

Ttangkkeut Haenam is taking a great leap forward as the hub city of southwestern coast toursim using a wide range of tourism resources telling the story of Haenam and the clean ecosystem and environment.
