Jincheon-gun, located in the heart of Chungcheongbuk-do, Korea, is a mixed urban-rural municipality, with the vision “Saenggeo Jincheon, the premier city where everyone is happy and with its key administrative goals, , , , , and . Moreover, Jincheon-gun has solidified its status as the central region’s leading economic city by achieving a per capita GRDP of USD 90,000, entering the era of a KRW 900 billion county budget, and attracting over KRW 1 trillion in investment for nine consecutive years.

Amid nationwide concerns of population decline, Jincheon has achieved population growth for 18 consecutive years—an exceptional feat even on a national scale. Furthermore, in the 2024 Korea Sustainable Cities Evaluation released by the Korea Local Governance Research Institute, Jincheon ranked No. 1 in Chungcheongbuk-do and No. 2 nationwide among counties in the population category.

The ‘Nongdari Tourism Development Project,’ which highlights new opportunities for Jincheon-gun’s tourism industry, will play a key role in attracting two million annual visitors to the historic Nongdari Stone Bridge area, together with the recently completed Chopyeongho Mir 309 Suspension Bridge—the longest pylon-free suspension bridge in Korea.
