‘High Gochang Watermelon’ of Gochang-gun, Jeollabuk-do becomes the brand of distinguished quality as Gochang, the city of watermelons, won the Grand Prize in the watermelon category in 2022 Korea National Brand Awards.

‘High Gochang’ is certified as the general brand of premium agricultural products from Gochang, established in 2020. High Gochang Watermelons are produced in the optimum environment for watermelons, including the largest clay field in Korea, rich sunshine, and sea breezes from the West Sea. Only very sweet watermelons of 12Brix or higher, the top 10% among watermelons produced in Gochang, are delivered to consumers using the non-destructive grader. High Gochang Watermelons are characterized by firm flesh, chewy texture, and sweet taste.
