‘Gyullojangjsaeng’, the joint tangerine brand of Jeju Nonghyup

Due to various individual brands, consumers became aggravated and confused based on diverse tangerines. ‘Gyullojangsaeng’, the joint brand of Jeju Nonghyup tangerines, was created in July 2015 after a development process of about 20 months in order to enhance the branding of Jeju tangerines and their strengthen their competitiveness by establishing the a representative brand.

The brand ‘Gyullojangsaeng’ is a compound words of Jeju tangerine and Bullojangsaeng (meaning eternal youth) and implies the efficacies of healthy Jeju tangerines, including anti-obesity, anti-cancer, anti-inflammation, and skin beauty effects. The brand image embodies the crane, one of ten traditional symbols of longevity, spreading its wings and soaring to remind consumes of longevity without diseases through Jeju tangerine. ‘Gyullojangsaeng’ won the Grand Prize in Korea Brand Awards for 11 consecutive years from 2012 as a result of its devotion to strict quality management, including sorting tangerines whose sweetness exceeds-10 brix.
