LG U+ won the grand prize in the Internet Bundled Services category at the 2025 16th National Brand Awards of Korea (NYF K-NBA). This marks the company’s 13th consecutive year of winning the National Brand Award since its first win in 2013. The National Brand Awards are presented to outstanding brands based on a comprehensive evaluation of five categories: brand awareness, representativeness, satisfaction, loyalty, and global favorability.

LG U+ was highly praised for its continuous innovation in user experience with a customer-centric approach. The company first introduced IPTV services in partnership with Google in 2012, becoming the first in Korea to do so. It further strengthened its IPTV content competitiveness by introducing Netflix and Disney+ in Korea in 2018 and 2021, respectively. In 2023, LG U+ launched an AI agent specialized for IPTV, called “Media Agent,” to enhance customer viewing convenience. The Media Agent includes features such as △ AI curation recommending higly personalized contents, △ AI subtitle automatically adjusting subtitle positions, and △ the IXI Voice Chatbot that solves customer issues 24/7.

Additionally, LG U+ introduced the IPTV subscription service “Uplay,” which gathers popular domestic and international content. Uplay is the subscription-based TV service which offers over 70,000 titles across all genres, including exclusive overseas OTT original content, movies, dramas, and animations, making it Korea’s first service to offer such a comprehensive range. Thanks to these customer experience innovations, U+tv ranked first in user satisfaction in the Ministry of Science and ICT’s “2024 Paid Broadcasting Service Quality Evaluation.“

Moreover, LG U+ continues to launch various internet services to meet the changing market environment, including increased wireless Wi-Fi access devices and the activation of OTT services. The company has introduced internet speeds ranging from 1Gbps to 2.5Gbps for professional use, delivering fast and reliable quality to continue innovating the customer experience.
