The Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) has become the first public institution to win the ESG Management award in the public sector for two consecutive years at the 2025 16th Korea National Brand Awards (NYF K-NBA). The New York Festivals, one of the world’s top three advertising festivals, introduced the public sector ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Management category starting last year.

Since declaring its commitment to ESG management in 2021, aT has undertaken a wide range of initiatives, including △ establishing and operating an ‘Online Wholesale Market’ to drive the digital transformation of agricultural product distribution and reduce intermediary stages, △ launching and managing a ‘Climate Change Response Task Force’ for proactive agricultural supply and demand management in response to climate change, △ supporting ‘food package’ for children from low-income households, and △providing smart farm vocational training for individuals with developmental disabilities.
As a result, aT has received recognition in various ESG-related areas, including △ being designated for six consecutive years as a recognized institution under the Community Contribution Certification Program by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, △ receiving the highest rating for three consecutive years in the ‘Public Institution Win-Win Growth Evaluation’(the Ministry of SMEs and Startups), and △ being selected for two consecutive years as a certified institution under the ‘Rural ESG Implementation Recognition Program(the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries)’.

aT President Hong Moon-pyo stated, “It is a great honor to have our brand value recognized for two years in a row,” adding, “We will continue to expand our role across the agricultural and fisheries industries and further accelerate our ESG initiatives.”
