Gyullojangsaeng is the integrated tangerine brand of Jeju Agricultural Cooperative Federation launched in 2015 for strengthening the branding and competitiveness of Jeju tangerine. The name Gyullojangsaeng is the portmanteau of ‘Jeju Tangerine’ and ‘eternal youth’ created to express the healthy effects of Jeju tangerines, including anti-obesity, anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory and skin care effects. Gyullojangsaeng is widely recognized as the ‘Jeju tangerine brand with confidence’ among consumers. Other species, including Hallabong and Cheonhyehyang, as well as tangerine are sold with the brand ‘Gyullojangsaeng’ and favored by consumers.

Chairman Kim Mun-il of Jeju Tangerine Federation said, “Gyullojangsaeng is the integrated brand of Jeju tangerines. So, we sell only quality tangerine of over 10 brix through strict quality control. Gyullojangsaeng will enhance consumers’ confidence more by continuing quality management and differentiation.”

Meanwhile, the Jeju Agricultural Cooperative Federation the and Jeju Tangerine Federation designated December 1 as ‘Tangerine Day’ because tangerines are the best fruit in winter. Accordingly, they implement the ‘Day Marketing’ every year.

Moreover, the Jeju Agricultural Cooperative Federation and the Jeju Tangerine Federation devote themselves to widely promoting the superiority of tangerines through a variety of promotion activities together with the Gyullojangsaeng brand. They have been implementing diverse kinds of promotional activities suitable for the MZ generation, including the diversification of sales channels in accordance with change of consumption patterns and creating content for YouTube and SNS.
