Chungbuk, Stand at the Heart of Korea – Brand Slogan

Chungbuk is the new name of Chungcheongbuk-do, ‘Chungbuk, Stand at the Heart of Korea,’ won the Grand Prize in the Brand Slogan category at the 15th Korea National Brand Awards. The committee highly appreciated Chungbuk’s brand slogan for its active communication with citizens. In fact, over 3,000 citizens participated in the brand slogan contest held in April last year. The design was also completed with the input from citizens, including ideas from the ‘Youth Brand Participation Team,’ composed of students from 11 design departments in the universities in Chungbuk, and through the Korea Design Competition.

The core keyword of the slogan, ‘Stand at the Heart,’ encapsulates not only Chungbuk’s geographical location but also its goal and aspiration to stand strongly as the hub of Korea in every field. Chungbuk is striving for the establishment of the image of the new brand slogan and the expansion of internal and external recognition.

Chungbuk plans to continue its activities through initiatives such as ‘Visiting Brand Presentation’ and ‘Exhibitions,’ which received great responses last year, as well as participating in activities like △brand pop-up exhibitions and △goods festivals. Additionally, Chungbuk will promote the joint growth of enterprises in its territory, including the development of brand slogan goods through collaboration between the public and private sectors. Governor Kim Young-hwan expressed his hope that Chungbuk’s new name would evolve into a brand beloved by people worldwide, surpassing recognition within Korea.
