Cheongju City is making strides toward becoming “the most business-friendly city in Korea” by providing comprehensive support including △funding and market expansion support, △business support task forces, and △nurturing innovative future-growth industries.

By offering tailored assistance to small giants and startups, Cheongju is fully committed to enhancing the competitiveness of SMEs and driving both quantitative and qualitative growth. Located at the heart of Korea, Cheongju boasts excellent transportation infrastructure, including KTX Osong Station and access to the Gyeongbu and Jungbu Expressways, allowing for two-hour travel from anywhere in the country. In addition, Cheongju International Airport offers convenient access to both domestic and international markets, providing a geographical edge for global expansion. Cheongju is also a strategic hub for next-generation industries such as semiconductors, biohealth, and secondary batteries, offering a solid foundation for advanced industrial growth.

Under the core pledge of the 8th popularly elected administration, the city is actively pursuing various customized support policies to realize the vision of “Business-Friendly Cheongju.” Cheongju is also supporting entry into the public sector market including △expanding prioritized procurement of local products, △operation of a market development consulting group for small and medium-sized enterprises, and △production of promotional materials for outstanding products. Furthermore, Cheongju is stepping up practical support customized for businesses, including △tailored patent application, △registration of products on the national procurement platform (Nara Marketplace), and △consulting for national R&D project proposals.
