BBQ

Opened directly managed restaurant No. 1 on the 32nd street in Manhattan, New York in 2017, BBQ has been operating over 150 restaurants in 22 states, including restaurants in Chicago and Los Angeles, and plans to increase to over 200 restaurants this year.

BBQ has been rapidly advancing in the USA through a localization strategy, differentiated taste and flavor, and strict quality management. BBQ serves Korean-style chicken in USA by applying fried chicken with crispy skin and soft flesh, differentiated from American-style chicken and a variety of seasonings, sauces, and cooking method. Another advantage is to serve diverse parts of chicken, including boneless chicken, wings and drumsticks.

Chairman Yun Hong-geun said, “BBQ was able to successfully pioneer global markets due to unwavering determination to continue until the end and the endeavors of employees as well as continuing interest and bold investment for global growth. BBQ identified preferences and tendency per consumer while operating BBQ restaurants in Manhattan and Boston. BBQ achieved significant success by implementing a localized sales system and introducing operating knowhow.”

BBQ ranked second, three places up from the last year, in the ‘Top 25 Fastest Growing Restaurants in USA’ published by Nation’s Restaurant News, the global restaurant magazine, in June 2022. BBQ was the only Korean franchise restaurant operating business abroad on the list. Moreover, BBQ received the Citation from the New Jersey State Assembly presented by New Jersey State Assemblywoman Allen Park in recognition of its contribution to economic development and job creation in New Jersey in August 2022.
