‘2022 New York Festivals The Korea-National Brand Awards’ hosted by New York Festivals, one of the world’s three major advertising festivals, was held on April 6th at the Lotte Hotel in Sogong-dong, Seoul.

The 13th Korea-National Brand Awards this year is a global power brand awards ceremony hosted by New York Festivals, one of the world’s three major advertising festivals. This year, the most valuable and competitive brand as a national asset was selected, and The ‘New York Festivals Hall of Fame’ was given to Jeong-hyeon Park, the mayor of Buyeo. The winners are announced worldwide through the New York Festivals website.

CEO of New York Festivals, Ellen Smyth (pictured), who could not attend the awards ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic, said in a video message, “I hope that the winners of the 13th Korea National Brand Awards will advance so that they can compete with businesses and brands around the world.” She continued, “I want to share the joy with the winners online.”

Chairman of the Korea Steering Committee, Eun-ki Yoon said, “I hope that the national brands announced this year will grow into global power brands along with New York Festivals. This is the result of the continuous efforts of each winner, as their business aimed for a better future.”

2022 New York Festivals The Korea-National Brand Awards have been selecting and announcing the brands that are evaluated the best in the domestic and international markets since April 2011 in the Industrial Brands, Place Brands, and Culture Brands categories. Industry and Place Brands are selected through the National Brand Competitiveness Index (NCI), a self-evaluation system, and Cultural Brands and New York Festivals Hall of Fame inductees are selected through public evaluation.

The ‘New York Festivals Hall of Fame,’ given to the best contributors to the development of the Korean brand, was honored to Jeong-hyeon Park, the mayor of Buyeo, Chungcheongnam-do for his dedicated efforts to raise awareness and expand sales channels for ‘Good Tree’ agricultural products, a joint brand of Buyeo, Chungcheongnam-do. This year, ▲ 59 Industrial divisions, ▲ 16 Place divisions such as urban and agricultural food brands, and ▲ 3 Cultural divisions in the institutional, art and individual categories were selected as the best national brands in Korea.

The brands receiving awards for consecutive years at the Korea National Brand Awards is increasing every year. The consecutive award-winning brands are as follows: ▲Nopeul Gochang Watermelon for 12 years ▲KB Financial Group·Kia Members·Good Tree for 11 years ▲U+ Home Service·LG OLED TV·Hongcheon Neulpureum Korean Beef·Environmental Organic Farming City Goesan for 10 years ▲Emergency Education·Seoul National University Hospital Gangnam Center for 9 years ▲ International Maritime Tourism and Recreation City Yeosu for 7 years ▲ Uljin snow crab for 6 years ▲ Electric vehicle leading city Daegu Hyundai Livart for 5 years

EMK Musical Company (CEO Hong-hyeon Um), Sul-nyeo Park (Director Sul-nyeo Park), and Jang-nam Cho, chairman of the Korea Opera Association, were selected for the subdivided culture category since last year.

This year’s new award-winning brands include Korean Air, Incheon National University, Jeonju, the city you want to visit, Saenggeojincheon Rice, and Cheongsong Apple.
