Lotte Duty Free Shop is the entertainment marketing leader combining tourism and entertainment. Lotte Duty Free Shop has been producing and presenting K-contents, including K-pop and concerts, web dramas, and fan meetings with K-drama starts since 2004. Moreover, Lotte Duty Free Shop contributed to attracting tourists by employing the most popular artists as exclusive advertising models. Lotte Duty Free Shop also contributed of activating the tourism industry of Korea, including shopping and accommodations, as well as improved foreigners’ awareness of Korea and the position of Korea.

In particular, ‘Lotte Duty Free Shop Family Concert’ is the K-pop concert directly hosted by Lotte Duty Free Shop for attracting global tourists since 2006. The number of foreigners and domestic tourists attending the Lotte Duty Free Shop Family Concert up to now reaches one million. It is estimated that the Family Concert brought the production inducement effects of about 560 Billion KRW and added value effect of 280 Billion KRW.

Family Concert attracted customers with the most popular artists including BTS, Psy, Super Junior, EXO, and Twice. In particular, the 24th Lotte Duty Free Shop Family Festival held in Jamsil Olympic Stadium in Seoul in October 2016 was imprinted as the representative K-culture event, attacting about 100,000 attendees, including about 25,000 foreign tourists.

Lotte Duty Free Shop continued online family concert during the COVID-19 pandemic. Lotte Duty Free Shop and enabled the audience to appreciate the dynamic and best performance even at home, using the AR (Augmented Reality) and XR (Expanded Reality). The Online Family Concert in 2021 was performed in six languages, Korean, English, simplified/contemporary Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese. It recorded total 3 Million views with customers’ support from all over the world, and attracted 700,000 new members.
