Alcohol fermentation of the feed was developed jointly by Hongcheon-gun, farmers and Gangwon National University in 1996. Brewers grain, corn, syrup, special enzyme, and growth regulators are added and kept for anaerobic fermentation for 48 to 72 hours (after-ripening) for optimizing the quality of Korean beef.
