The Seoul Business Agency (Representative Director: Kim Hyunwoo) is a small and medium enterprise support institution dedicated to fostering beauty, content, and innovation SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) and activating the startup ecosystem in Seoul. For the past 26 years, since its establishment, it has been expanding the startup ecosystem through public-private partnerships in technology, content, beauty, and other areas, supporting SME’s growth into global companies as well as nurturing outstanding SMEs and corporate talents in Seoul.

As a subsidiary of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the Seoul Business Agency is actively engaged in various policy initiatives and projects aimed at fostering excellent SMEs and talents in Seoul. It is committed to creating a startup ecosystem that leads Seoul’s future economy and industries through initiatives such as △entrepreneurship and investment, △research and development (R&D), △content creation, △marketing, and △talent development.

The Seoul Business Agency hosts annual events such as the ‘Try Everything’ startup festival for the overseas expansion of outstanding startups and the global event ‘SPP’ to promote the content industry. Furthermore, it operates the ‘Youth Employment Officer School,’ which supports IT talent development and employment across 15 campuses within Seoul. Additionally, it successfully organized the world’s first influencer expo, ‘2023 Seoul Con,’ contributing to enhancing Seoul’s urban competitiveness.

To enhance communication and engagement with Seoul SMEs requiring policy and citizen support, the institution operates an official YouTube channel called ‘SBA TV.’ It provides comprehensive information about the institution and distributes informative content tailored to citizens’ interests. Moreover, it executes outdoor advertisements, such as on Subway Line 2 route announcements and subway station light advertisements (DMC Station, City Hall Station) to introduce excellent Seoul SMEs and their products to citizens.
