Incheon Waterworks Headquarter was selected as the new name of tap water through a public contest in October 2021 with the ambition to ‘produce healthy and clean tap water with citizens’. Brand identity (BI) production and selection was also determined through the preference survey with citizens and the brand declaration ceremony was held in March 2022.

Incheon Sky Water means the ‘clean water from heaven on Incheon, the advanced international city with the international airport’. For realizing the clean value, the pursuit of the brand, Incheon Sky Water is trying to produce quality tap water by ▲ acquiring international certification ISO22000 (Food Safety Management System) for the first time among 6 metropolitan cities, ▲ expanding advanced water purification facilities, and ▲ introducing a smart water management system. Moreover, Incheon Sky Water took the initiative in ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance Structure) management.

Incheon Waterworks Headquarters intensified communication with citizens through promotional activities, including the Incheon Sky Water promotion campaign along with the brand declaration ceremony,the production of a brand promotion video, expansion of the SNS channel of Incheon Sky Water, advertising using the press, broadcasting and public media and the operation of Incheon Sky Water Science Class with Incheon Sky Water Citizens’ Evaluation Group and Supporters. This year, Incheon Waterworks Headquarters implements the waterworks innovation projects to achieve 4 strategies, including ▲ production and supply of clean and safe tap water, ▲ establishment of an optimum waterworks management system, ▲ implementation of ‘communicating waterworks’ with citizens, and ▲ the rationalization of waterworks management.

The director Yi Eung-gil of Waterworks Headquarter, Incheon Metropolitant City, said, “Incheon Waterworks Headquarter will endeavor to supply cleaner and safer Incheon SKy Water to return citizens’ confidence.”
